Belinda Chamberlain

Belinda is the Corporate Director of Blackshaw Real Estate. Belinda commenced her career with Blackshaw in 1994 and has a sound command of all internal operations of agency practice.
As a local Canberran, Belinda has contributed to the development of the city’s residential property market since the mid 1990s. Over the past 25 years she has excelled in her field, to become Canberra’s only female principal of a corporate franchise real estate business. Drawn to the dynamic nature of an industry in which no two days are the same, she established her career on the strong belief that you only get out what you put in.
Her genuine passion for the industry dates back to her early days as a work experience student. Since then, her career path has encompassed a diversity of roles, garnering expertise in customer service, marketing, sales support, property management, account management, HR and team management. These insights have become the foundation on which she’s built a prosperous management career, focused on a corporate culture that values staff morale, professional development and genuine teamwork.
Known for her passionate and enthusiastic approach to the industry, she’s developed a positive corporate culture that is quick to reward talent and merit. In 2019 her strategic approach has overseen the development of the company brand, corporate communications and the expansion of the franchise office network.
As a strong proponent of merit-based appointments and gender equality, Belinda is particularly proud of the high proportion of women the agency has hired and promoted. As an inspiring role model herself, Belinda has spent the last two and half decades building a successful career while raising a family of four children with her husband and business partner, Andrew Chamberlain.
