Molonglo Valley

Molonglo Valley encompasses the suburbs of Wright, Coombs, Denman Prospect and Whitlam.

Centrally located Molonglo provides a fantastic lifestyle if you enjoy the outdoors, have a desire to live close to multiple town centres in Canberra and enjoy easy living.

Stromlo Forest Park is a multi-use recreational sporting facility situated in the heart of the Molonglo Valley. Set on 1200 hectares. Only 15 minutes from the city centre, the Park has something for everyone, from recreational to professional users.

Boasting a purpose-built event pavilion, a 1.2km criterium cycling circuit, a 2.5km grass cross country running track, equestrian trails, pump track and over 50km of mountain bike trails suitable for riders of all abilities. Both the Centenary Trail and Bicentennial National Trail pass through the Park, and there are kilometres of shared trails for those wanting to explore on foot as well.

Adjacent to the main carpark is a café/bar and bike hire for all of your pre and post activity needs.

Coombs has a variety of housing types including high density, single dwellings and townhouses. There are several open green spaces including the wetlands enabling the native flora and fauna to thrive. A great spot to relax and take in the nature. Serviced by local shops, child care facilities and a new playground being constructed.

Wright holds mostly apartments and townhouses suitable for professionals and young families and is close to both Denman Prospect and Coombs.

While the Molonglo Valley is still in development, you can imagine the fantastic commercial spaces that will be created as the region comes to life.
THINGS TO DO
On the edge of Weston Creek, and backing on to multiple reserves, the Molonglo Valley will be an ideal spot for those that are looking for an outdoors based lifestyle. The National Zoo & Aquarium is a classic family favourite, and the National Arboretum is close by. The Cotter Reserve is a short drive away and is a great picnic spot, with a playground and barbeque facilities.
SPORTS
There have been many parks planned for the region, some of which have already been completed. Stromlo Forest Park is a great spot for mountain biking, trail running or hiking.
CULTURE
Sheltered from the busy city is the Burrunju Art Gallery on Lady Denman Drive. This gallery is run by the Burrunju Aboriginal Corporation, to create an opportunity for Indigenous peoples to showcase their artwork and music.
