Molonglo Valley

The Molonglo Valley is the newest region being developed in Canberra. The planning of the region has a large focus on recreational activities for all ages, as well ecological conservation. The ACT government's aim is to create a sustainable and energetic mixed-use village, that also incorporates the natural landscape of the region.

WHERE TO EAT
While the Molonglo Valley is still in development, you can imagine the fantastic commercial spaces that will be created as the region comes to life.
THINGS TO DO
On the edge of Weston Creek, and backing on to multiple reserves, the Molonglo Valley will be an ideal spot for those that are looking for an outdoors based lifestyle. The National Zoo & Aquarium is a classic family favourite, and the National Arboretum is close by. The Cotter Reserve is a short drive away and is a great picnic spot, with a playground and barbeque facilities.
SPORTS
There have been many parks planned for the region, some of which have already been completed. Stromlo Forest Park is a great spot for mountain biking, trail running or hiking.
CULTURE
Sheltered from the busy city is the Burrunju Art Gallery on Lady Denman Drive. This gallery is run by the Burrunju Aboriginal Corporation, to create an opportunity for Indigenous peoples to showcase their artwork and music.
